The pLEP-CMV vector is similar to the pLEP plasmid except that the CMV promoter has been inserted upstream of the multiple cloning site to direct high level expression of the inserted gene, and the human growth hormone polyadenylation sequence has been inserted following the multiple cloning site to terminate expression efficiently.?The other features of the plasmid facilitate rapid conversion into an adenovirus vector using the SpeAd procedure.
